Andrea Joy Cook

A.J. Cook is a Canadian actress best known for her roles in film features The Virgin Suicides (1999) as well as Final Destination 2 (2003) as well as for her character in the role of Jennifer "JJ" Jareau in the tv drama show Criminal Minds. She was raised as a Mormon, or member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. At a young age, she took the ballet, tap and jazz classes. It was only when she reached 17 that she began acting. She's competed in a variety of dance competitions. The film Dirty Dancing starring Patrick Swayze made her want to become an actress. Cook, who met Nathan Andersen while taking a film class on Utah Valley University in the spring of 2001, later got married him. They have one son named Mekhai Allan Andersen, born on 13 September, 2008. She lives in Los Angeles
